Metro running in Mumbai - Versova-Andheri-Ghatkopar Metro Route


The most awaited Mumbai Metro finally ran today. It is one of the most sought after project of Mumbai district. Mumbaikars are really happy to see this for a short period of time. CM of Maharashtra finally attended the event. There were many chief officials who became the witness of this Metro Inauguration. Let see some more info on the same.

Mumbai Metro Trial begins



The most interesting change in Mumbai transportation. Today 1st May 2013 Mumbai Metro Rail ran for the first trial. CM P. Chauhan had waved the green flag to run the train. Commissioner of Railway Safety (CRS) already inspected the route and happy to see the new venture running successfully in Ghatkopar Route.

If we see the reality of this project various problems persisiting all the time. Still there are work which has to be completed. Most of the tracks are not completed. The major problem of shifting the tenants where the Metro Track has spread over. There were some situations also arised where sikhs were seen opposing the Metro Rail because they have not given a proper relocations. The overhead installations are still pending for many routes.

It seems consequence are going to be hazardous. When people will be come angry on this then situations may lead to big trouble.

Versova-Andheri-Ghatkopar route.
It is 11 KM long and double lined. It has a standard Gauze. It has following type of ticketing facilities.

I saw many pending work by Metro Rail. Thousands of crores are in vain if Maharashtra Government is unable to make it complete on time. As time passes the cost would be the Herculean Job.
