Wankhede ready after renovation

Highlights of the changes and facilities added to the World famous Wankhede Stadiumin Mumbai.

Now to ease the spectators exit and avoid stampede, now the Wankhede Stadium has 21 exits from the stands in place of the earlier 11.

767 Washrooms of Wankhade Stadium in place of 153 earlier will be a great relief for the spectators who has to sit for long hours to watch the cricket. These new washrooms are spacious, well maintained. Keeping in mind of the women spectators 30% of the toilet blocks are reserved for them.

The concrete pillars which were obstructing the view of spectators have been done away with in the new stadium. So spectators can catch a clear view of the full Wankhede ground from any corner of the ground.

57 new Air-conditioned boxes in Wankhede and three giant replay screens are installed.

A new Drainage System on the lines of Lord's are put to ensure the ground to dry faster and remain dry in case of rain. Better ventilation are provided.

Lifts are installed at all gates to help the handicapped spectators get into the stands.

The earlier concrete steps are replaced with Bucket seats in the Wankhede stands, which are more comfortable now.

Let us keep our fingers crossed and wait for Team India to quality for the finals.
