Education system in india

health is wealth... But what about the education???

"Can India become a developed country?" This particular question always revolves around my mind whenever i read about the education system of India.
If you all do not believe me than take a survey of any rural area. You will definitely find that many people living their will not much educated.the reason of being uneducated specially in rural area is lack of schools or improper functioning of government schools in villages. Government has started mid-day meal programme in rural areas to attract the children from their home to school but they have never focused on the functioning of school. The school functioning depends on th quality of teachers present there, not the quantity of food to be given to students.
Now-a-days grading system has been started by government. When press asked from Kapil Sibal that why he started CCA(continuous and comprehensive evaluation) for students of class 10th, the he replied that he does not want anyone to fail in class 10th. According to me this is not a beneficial step taken by the government towards the education system. Suppose if anyone get 81% and other student get 90%, then they both will be in group A2. Their would be no difference in both the Childs, they will be judged equally. According to CCE system, only grades are allowed to be in the progress card,no marks are written in it. SO, no one will be able to know how much percentage one acheived in his/her exams.
If our government continues take such decisions then i do not think that our India will ever become a developed country.

Yes i do agree to it that by the education system in our country is very poor. The grading system has given rise to negligence in studies by children they do not feel like achieving any goal of percentage. They do not show any kind of interest in studies. The students scoring high percentage are all put in the same category like the once who had just reached the percentage only to get into the allotted category of grade. So the government has to change the way of education. Some subjects must be changed in order to increase the interest of students in their studies.Last but not the least survey should be done from students and parents that what kind of system they would like. Otherwise today's student will very soon loose interest in education
