Fire at Bandra East, Mumbai on 04.03.2011


Fire disaster damaged Bandra East and still it is not under control. See details the extent of damage, caution and alert and helplines.

At Bandra East very near to Bandra station fire engulfed a huge area of slum and after 3-4 hours it is still not under control.

Fire started at slums of Bandra and being very dense and populated area it took a dangerous turn and now even after 26 fire brigade vehicles, fire is still not under control. It is said that due to very close residence and gas cylinders in the houses fire is not under control.

Fire at Bandra East, is it intentional


Local people claimed that fire at such areas are mostly intentional just to clear the area and to replace and remove the slums. Fire took place at 8.00 PM and during this 3 hours it is not under control.

Extent of damage and helpline for fire incidence at Bandra East


At present there is no news of any casualty, however few people are taken to nearest hospital to first aid but there is huge economical loss for the ppeople living there. Extent of damage is increasing and Bandra railway station is very near to the place of incidence. If fire is not controlled in time, even station may get affected.
