The year of Remakes
This year Bollywood is giving tribute to the yesteryears movies. So many movies are being remade again. Some of the 80's movies that's going to shine on the silver screen with a new touch are, "Agneepath", "Satte Pe Satta", "Seeta aur Geeta", Mr. India, etc.
Remake of Satte Pe Satta
Satte Pe Satta is an 80's block buster starring the legend Amitabh Bacchan and Hema Malini. It was a story of 7 brothers who live a much undisciplined life. But once the elder of the seven brothers get married, the new bride taught all of them how to live and how to love each other. Though it is an adaptation of the Hollywood classic Seven Brides for Seven Brothers, it is worth watching.
Now, this movie is going to be remade by Soham Shah, who earlier directed movies like >Kaal and Luck. The role of Amitabh Bacchan will be portrayed by our own Sanju Baba and the role essayed by Hema Malini in the original classic will be carried forward by the elegant Vidya Balan. The dusky beauty Bipasha Basu will portray the role of Ranjeeta from the original.
The actors who have been approached for the rest of 6 brides roles are; Minisha Lamba, Rimi Sen, Neha Sharma, Anjana, Celina Jaitley and Sonal Chauhan.
Though the role of 6 other brothers have not been finalized yet, it has been told that Arshad Warsi, Sharman Joshi, Tushar Kapoor, Aftab, Shreyas and Reitesh Deshmukh may play the roles.
Is Aishwarya Rai roped in for Satte Pe Satta remake?
Well, it has been rumored that Sanjay Dutt wants Aishwarya Rai to play the lead role. But the last news that we heard that, Vidya Balan grabs the opportunity with open hand.
