Buses in memory system

Buses in memory system

Three Buses associated in memory subsystem are:

Address Bus

Data Bus

Control Bus

All Three Buses are connected to the memory subsystem .

In 8085 CPU ,the Address Bus is 16bit wide.It acts to select one of the unique 64 memory locations.

Control Bus determines whether this will be read or write. In rhe case of an instruction fetch, the Control Bus is set up for read operation.

Data is read or written through the Data Bus which is 8 bits wide.Thats why all registers and memory are 8 bits wide
