After three successful year of IPL with some controversies as well, now BCCI (Board of Control for Cricket in India) will now go for fresh auction of players for IPL 2011. There are certain rules for new auction of players in IPL 2011.

Rules and Regulations for auction of players in IPL 2011


As per new rules in IPL 2011 a team can retain 4 players out of which only three can be Indian players. This will give an option for new teams Pune warriors team in IPL 2011 and Kochi team in IPL 2011 to get some good players.

Which player will be auctioned in IPL 2011


After each team retaining 3 Indian and one International player all other International players and Indian players who participated in 75% matches from their team will go for auction.

As Kings XI Punjab and Rajasthan Royals are terminated, all their players will be available for auction if they fulfill above criteria.

The new team for IPL will be declared only after auction of players. Date and time for auction of players for IPL 2011 will be in November 2010.
