After MNS, Shiv Sena targets Mumbai Multiplexes


After the agitation of Maharashtra Navnirman Sena (MNS)workers, Shiv Sena has targeted the Mumbai multiplexes. Their opinion is that Mumbai Multiplex owners should reduce price of tickets.

MNS's agitaion against Mumbai multiplexes


Maharashtra Navnirman Sena (MNS) workers resorted to violence against the Mumbai multiplexes on the issue of show timings of Marathi films. They also expressed their desire to increase the shows of Marathi films. After an ultimatum from Maharashtra Navnirman Sena (MNS) chief Raj Thackrey of a week, still no work was done by the Multiplex owners. As a result, the MNS workers resorted to violence gainst these multiplexes.

After MNS, Shiv Sena executive director Uddhav Thackrey gave a speech that Marathi manoos must be able to Marathi films. For that the Marathi films must have lower ticket rates. So, Shiv Sena visited various multiplexes such as Inox and PVR. Shiv Sena claims that the ticket rates of Marathi films has been reduced after the ultimatum given by Shiv Sena of about a week. This was very much similar to MNS workers resorting to violence.

Shiv Sena director Uddhav Thackrey has clearly stated that the Marathi multiplexes must lower the ticket rates of the Marathi movies. It is very understandable that if this doesn't happen, they will also resort to violence much like MNS. It is seen as a somewhat copy act from MNS. MNS remains mute on Shiv Sena executive director Uddhav Thackrey's speech.
