Present scenario of Marathi films in Mumbai Multiplexes

The producer of the Marathi film 'Jeta', Ajinkya Dev, observed some of the things and acts carried out by Mumbai Multiplex owner. Some of them are as follows
1. Not showing Marathi movie shows
2. Not giving prime time slots to Marathi films
3. Giving slots to Marathi films where very little people can watch the Marathi films.
4. Many Marathi films, in spite of being very popular, are ended abruptly from the Mumbai multiplexes.
5. Editing the Marathi films to accommodate more shows of other films.
6. Putting light fading as multiplex owners feel that Marathi films are overly bright. This had resulted in huge losses to the Marathi film 'Natrang'.

These issues were raised by producers of 'Jeta' during the release of the film and the Maharashtra Navnirman Sena (MNS) chief and workers decided to act against this injustice.

MNS stand against the ill-practices of Mumbai Multiplexes and other multiplexes in Maharashtra

At the release of the Marathi film Jeta, Maharashtra Navnirman Sena (MNS) chief Raj Thackeray, gave a speech on the Marathi films issue and the multiplex owners ill practices. Raj Thackeray is an iconic figure in Maharasthra politics. His words are inspiration and MNS workers will go to any limits for Raj Thackeray.
He issued an ultimatum of about a week to the Mumbai and Maharashtra's Multiplexes to show Marathi films. If that is not taking place, he will take control of things and solve the problem by MNS methods. In short, he will go out and resort to violence against the Mumbai multiplexes. This is a first of its kind in Maharashtra politics.
