Sony Ericsson Xperia X10 Android 2.1 Update

Sony Ericsson has just announced that its Xperia X10 series is about to get Android 2.1 update to its phones.

Earlier, the news was in the air that Sony Ericsson Xperia X10 will be getting a significant software update somewhere in Q3. According to forums of Sony Ericsson the update is scheduled to hit the market in September.
Sony Ericsson would be updating it UX interface to Android 2.1, however the rumours are saying that it can surprise everyone by releasing Android 2.2 instead of Android 2.1.


Sony Ericsson has also cleared that it would not support the multi touch in Xperia X10 as its hardware are not enough for the feature, however they are in process to make an update to support multi touch in Sony Ericsson Xperia X10.
If Xperia X10 will not support multi touch then it would lacking the core features of Android 2.1.

Other changes in Sony Ericsson Xperia X10 will be 720p HD Video recording, Wi-Fi with DLNA connectivity to connect to your home network, and other major update will be in the interface of Timescape and Mediascape with Android 2.1 update. The company has promised to release the update sometime in Q3 of this year.

However Sony Ericsson has just released a software update for Xperia X10, the update is available now all over India on official site of Sony Ericsson.
