Sachin Tendulkar is from Mumbai and is the best batsman as well as a great personality and a youth icon of India.

Sachin Ramesh Tendulkar - सचिन रमेश तेंडुलकर, was born on April 24, 1973 in Mumbai.

He is a famous Indian cricketer who is widely regarded and known famous as one of the greatest batsmen in the history of Indian and World cricket. Sachin Tendulkar is the top most leading runs scorer and also known as a century maker in Test Series of Cricket and also in One Day International cricket.

In the year 2002, Wisden had ranked him as the second greatest Test batsman of all times, only next to Sir Donald Bradman, and also as the second biggest batsman in One Day International (ODI) of all times, only next to Sir Viv Richards.

In the year September 2007, Sachin Tendulkar was rated as the greatest player he has played with or against by the leg spinner from Australia, Shane Warne.

Sachin Tendulkar is the only Cricket player of the current generation of Cricketers who is included in Sir Bradman's Eleven. He is referred as "Little Master" or "Master Blaster".

Sachin Tendulkar is also one of the highest run scorer in both the categories of cricket i.e. ODIs and Test matches, and he is also the batsman with the most centuries in both forms of Cricket. He is also the first player to score fifty (50) centuries in all of the international cricket matches in toto, and he currently has eighty-eight (88) international centuries.

As on November 20, 2009, Master Blaster Sachin Tendulkar crossed the 30,000 runs milestone in International Cricket.

On October 17, 2008, Sachin Tendulkar crossed over 12,000 runs in Test Cricket by which he went ahead of Brian Lara's Record highest runs to be scored in Test Cricket, and also by the milestone he became the third batsman and he also became the first Indian to pass 11,000 runs.

Sachin Tendulkar is also the first player to have score over 10,000 runs in one day internationals, and to cross every subsequent 1000-run mark to cross in One day international cricket history. While playing the fourth Test of the Border-Gavaskar Trophy which was against Australia, Sachin Tendulkar had crossed Australia's Allan Border records and became the player to cross the 50-run mark in most number of times in World Test cricket history, and he also became the second best player to score 10 Test centuries against Australia, after Sir Jack Hobbs from England which was nearly more than 70 years back. Sachin Tendulkar has also been honoured with the Padma Vibhushan award, which is also India's second highest civilian award, and also the Rajiv Gandhi Khel Ratna award, which is India's highest sporting honour.
